The ADIS and MLL students have been earning some fun. These students made Gingerbread Houses. These houses are not by any means ordinary. Students put on their creative hats and thinking hats as they designed their Gingerbread Houses. Not one is alike. Some were very out of the box and creative thinking. One wanted his up on a hill , one did not use the milk carton at all. However, each student put effort and design and fun into each house. It was fun to see the students enjoy this project, especially since some have never made one before. That made it all the more enjoyable.

A group of second graders performed a reader's theater of The Baker's Dozen: A Saint Nicholas Tale. They performed for all of their second grade classmates.

7th Graders in Mrs. Ascheman's art class did a paint-a-long activity the week before our winter break. Their piece is titled "A Snowy Night" and they completed them just in time to bring home as holiday gifts to their family!

Students in ASL 2 have been thinking about the perfect sign for them to paint their hands. The chosen sign needs to be iconic, meaning that the movement and hand shape resembles the actual action or item. They planned out their design and even had some help in painting the design on their own hands. It was a perfect activity to do before break.

On Friday, December 19th, the 5th and 6th graders participated in a spell down to determine which students will move on to the district spelling bee to be held in January. Congratulations to the 5th graders Oliver, Porter, Landyn, Hannah, and Rory. Congratulations to the 6th graders, Braedon, Clayton, Knut, Marleni and Michael.
