𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐢𝐬 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐫𝐨𝐥𝐞?: High School Art Teacher
𝐇𝐨𝐰 𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐲 𝐲𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐬 𝐡𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐛𝐞𝐞𝐧 𝐚 𝐃𝐫𝐚𝐠𝐨𝐧?: This is my first year teaching but I've been part of the Dragon community for 22 years- my kids went to school here and I've served on the school board.
𝐖𝐡𝐲 𝐝𝐨 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐥𝐨𝐯𝐞 𝐛𝐞𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚 𝐃𝐫𝐚𝐠𝐨𝐧?: I love my job! I look forward to coming to school every day. It's super fun to get to know the awesome students, watch them create, and help them grow in their artistic abilities.
𝐅𝐮𝐧 𝐅𝐚𝐜𝐭 𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐬𝐞𝐥𝐟: I love to travel. So far I have been to 19 countries, 44 states and counting!

𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐢𝐬 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐫𝐨𝐥𝐞?: 1st grade teacher.
𝐇𝐨𝐰 𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐲 𝐲𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐬 𝐡𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐛𝐞𝐞𝐧 𝐚 𝐃𝐫𝐚𝐠𝐨𝐧?: My whole life! I attended Pine City Schools as a student (13 years) and came back here to teach. I taught Kindergarten for 16 years and this is my 6th year teaching 1st grade (22 years).
𝐖𝐡𝐲 𝐝𝐨 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐥𝐨𝐯𝐞 𝐛𝐞𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚 𝐃𝐫𝐚𝐠𝐨𝐧?: I love being a Dragon because my role gives me the opportunity to watch young learners grow-both academically and socially.

𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐢𝐬 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐫𝐨𝐥𝐞?: Science Teacher
𝐇𝐨𝐰 𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐲 𝐲𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐬 𝐡𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐛𝐞𝐞𝐧 𝐚 𝐃𝐫𝐚𝐠𝐨𝐧?: I graduated as a Pine City Dragon and then attended Minnesota State University Moorhead where I was also a Dragon. I took an 8 year break while I taught at other districts, but now I am back as a Dragon teacher. I'd say a total of 15 Dragon years, but only one of those as a teacher.
𝐖𝐡𝐲 𝐝𝐨 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐥𝐨𝐯𝐞 𝐛𝐞𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚 𝐃𝐫𝐚𝐠𝐨𝐧?:I chose Pine City as the school of choice for my children. I love working in the same district that my children attend. I also enjoy the unique experience of teaching students whose parents I grew up with.
𝐅𝐮𝐧 𝐅𝐚𝐜𝐭 𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐬𝐞𝐥𝐟: My husband and I are expecting our fourth son in June. I'm a boy mom for life.

𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐢𝐬 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐫𝐨𝐥𝐞?: Special Ed Paraprofessional.
𝐇𝐨𝐰 𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐲 𝐲𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐬 𝐡𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐛𝐞𝐞𝐧 𝐚 𝐃𝐫𝐚𝐠𝐨𝐧?: This is my 7th year as a full time Dragon, but I was also a substitute para for 2 years before that.
𝐖𝐡𝐲 𝐝𝐨 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐥𝐨𝐯𝐞 𝐛𝐞𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚 𝐃𝐫𝐚𝐠𝐨𝐧?: I enjoy connecting with the students. I love having conversations with them during recess and also supporting them in the classroom. I am grateful for many co-workers that I have also gained as friends. Watching our 2 daughters participate with the cross country and track teams is my favorite part about being a Dragon!

On Friday, a group of 5th grade students participated in the MN Math Masters Competition in Duluth. These students had been practicing all year to prepare for this competition.
The students completed 8 rounds of competition including the Fact Drill, Individual Round and Team Round. Pine City Team Green (Raylan, Eleanor, Brianna, Alivia and Kayden) earned 5th place out of 29 teams that participated. Kayden Quesenberry also earned 8th place (out of 141 students) for the Individual rounds.

𝐇𝐨𝐰 𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐲 𝐲𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐬 𝐡𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐛𝐞𝐞𝐧 𝐚 𝐃𝐫𝐚𝐠𝐨𝐧?: I’ve always been a Dragon at heart being a PCHS graduate, but this is my first year working as a Dragon!
𝐖𝐡𝐲 𝐝𝐨 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐥𝐨𝐯𝐞 𝐛𝐞𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚 𝐃𝐫𝐚𝐠𝐨𝐧?: I love being a Dragon because it truly feels like coming home. I grew up here, so getting to come back and now be part of the staff is really special. I get to see kids in every building, build relationships, and help them learn how to take care of themselves and feel their best. There’s just something about being part of a community that shaped you, and now getting to give back to it in such a meaningful way.

𝐇𝐨𝐰 𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐲 𝐲𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐬 𝐡𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐛𝐞𝐞𝐧 𝐚 𝐃𝐫𝐚𝐠𝐨𝐧?: All my life! K-12 as a student, 2 years as a Volunteer/Assistant with the Theater Program, and 3 years in my current position!
𝐖𝐡𝐲 𝐝𝐨 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐥𝐨𝐯𝐞 𝐛𝐞𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚 𝐃𝐫𝐚𝐠𝐨𝐧?: I love seeing the creativity of both students and staff in everything that happens in the schools! Pine City Schools have always made the arts matter, and that has been so important to me!
𝐅𝐮𝐧 𝐅𝐚𝐜𝐭 𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐬𝐞𝐥𝐟: As someone who has been involved in theater all my life, I have learned just about every "realm" of theater. My 3 favorites (other than acting) include being part of a Pit Orchestra, Lighting Design, and Projection Media!
